Waahay! Post!

Look what arrived in the post this morning:-
Colletta emailed me before Christmas to say I had won one of her book giveaways. I was delighted, and then the bad weather arrived which resulted in no post for nearly a fortnight. However this morning there was a clunk on the doormat and THERE it was!

I tell you, I was so pleased that I made myself a big cuppa tea, stretched out on the sofa and began reading! Thank you Colletta, I am so enjoying 'Jingle Bell Babies'!

And a day on the sofa has done me good too as I am still far from well, but with the house full of family have been dashing round like a mad thing keeping up with laundry, meals, cleaning, airing the dogs, mopping up snow puddles, etc etc- just usual mother things. So I guess I'm twice grateful!

My favourite mug with Winnie-the-Pooh came to grief this evening, boo hoo. B was very sorry too as she broke it.

The wind has been howling since yesterday afternoon, now with sleet and snow added. It is wearing listening to it but I'm thankful for a warm, snug house (which hasn't always been the case). Sos and B made supper this evening, when I said salads I meant various dishes, but they misunderstood and put everything together in one big bowl, including all the Christmas leftovers!!!

I'm so very glad it made it to you! I love taking some time to just read and block out any distractions. Let your family take care of you for a while.

I hope you're in top form soon!

I hope you are feeling better soon. It sounds like you had a cozy day with your book and tea. I'm sorry your favorite mug got broken. I had to laugh about your supper. That sounds like something my husband would do. I can just hear him say, "Well, you said..."

I had to stop and realize "Janey Mac" must be an expression in Ireland. At first I thought you were calling me the wrong name. LOL Our snow was the most we've had in our town since they started keeping records. I am so ready for spring to get here!

I got Larry to help carry some boxes and put the shelf paper down in the restroom cupboards. He went ahead and put it down in the coat and living room closets, too! He also glued the fake drawer he pulled on and caused to drop off. He had trouble with the glue holding, so he duct taped it. We're hoping it will stay on when the tape is removed.

Enjoy your book! The only reading I seem to do is blog reading these days.
