...you begin to collect and break up old pallets for the woodpile...
...you need to rust-proof the trailer before another winter's use...
...the raspberries are finished, the Summer veg becoming sparse, and the second bed is being prepared for sowing winter veg...
...the salad bed is full to bursting and you just can't eat enough to keep it in check!
...the montbretia are flowering...
Then there's the return to School, naming new uniform, turning up school skirts, finding mouldy PE kit from last term...
Ah well!
Ah well!
We've had some beautiful weather this year, better than we have had in many years, so I'm not complaining really. Its just a little melancholy to smell Autumn on the wind and see the leaves beginning to turn...

Great view as you do your gardening.
:-) x x x OR DIGGING :-) and bone finding :-)
And you pull the onions and dig the potatoes and get them stored. And you're over run with tomatoes. And there are several giant marrows threatening to rule the world.
I planted far too much salad this year too. What winter veg will you plant? I've been waking up really cold over the last few days, but I'm refusing to shut the window at night just yet. But we're having some wonderful late summer sunshine.
We are well into fall weather here with more and more leaves turning color and beginning to float to the ground, the birds getting ready to migrate south, and the temps much cooler, but no winter veggies to plant--they do not do well under the snow. It's definitely a little melancholy looking toward another long winter.
Teehee - the moldy PE kit sounds familiar from years gone by. Where did the summer go?
Summer's almost is over here, in New England too. It is cool and the seasons have changed!
Hope all is well!!
