These are the amaryllis seeds growing away quietly, its quite exciting really!
And here we have carrots, broad beans and scallions from the garden. Of course I didn't remember to plant some every fortnight so now I've a glut of scallions, and the rogue potatoes have taken over the carrots. What to do but eat the carrots, anyhow they are lovely and juicy. 
Wednesday was rather a washout as I slept all day, too much excitement in the big smoke, I guess. Today it rained all day (most unusual!!!) so all I could do was stand at the window watching the garden get away from me. Ho hum...Sos has gone to stay on a friend's boat with a bunch of friends and then they have all sorts of events planned. Another friend is playing with his band on Sunday night so they are going to that. B is going to Dublin tomorrow to stay with Dilly for the long weekend. I've a funeral to play for tomorrow, a member of the congregation who was 96 and well beloved by friends and family, a life well lived. Sad, but more to be thankful for.

And i think it's AMAZING that you grow your own vegetables. But I don't get the fortnight thing...
Oh,if you plant a few seeds from a packet, say of scallions, every fortnight, then you get a spread out harvest over many weeks.If, instead, you plant the whole darn lot in one go you get a glut, which is great for family and neighbours, but not so good for keeping your own kitchen supplied! Does this make sense? I'm a 'whole darn packet' sort of person, unfortunately!
And thank you, the funeral went grand, and although there was obviously sorrow, everyone was glad for Cecil as he lived and died at home, with dignity, and with all his family. He was ready to go.
What wonderful veggies you are getting from your diet. I hope that all goes well at the funeral, and sorry about that.

Yummy looking veggies! Our garden is starting to come on and it has been fun making relish and pickled beets. We need to replant our beets for a second crop this summer. We garden in planter boxes too.
