Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday once again- and today I've got an especially big Thankful!

1. Thankful that Dilly has survived my mothering so far because today she turns 21!! Exciting or what?! Of course she's not here to celebrate but we'll have a knees-up next month when she comes home. For fun, I dug out the album with her 1st birthday photos- and believe me, at the time I remember being so thankful that she'd survived that long!
...your eyes do not deceive you: she took the candle off her cake and ate the candle...

2. Thankful that after 6 days in bed with a lurgy, and 2 days shuffling around the house, I'm finally on the mend.

3. Thankful for my parents who helped the Hub with the School run and getting BBug to places.

4. Thankful for Permaculture Magazine, which has kept my thoughts occupied whilst lying in the dark feeling rotten, lots of ideas and information to mentally process!

5. I think I've said this before, but every so often it hits me again: Thankful that I live in a place where I have the freedom to choose my way of living, and the freedom of information and knowledge to make informed decisions. I am allowed to have morals and ethics and to demonstrate both in my lifestyle choices, even when they deviate from 'normal'. There's a LOT of people in this world of ours who don't have these freedoms.

Happy Thursday, people!

21!! Congrats to you daughter and for you and hubby for getting her this far so well:))
We take our freedoms for granted quite often, don't we? And I know we shouldn't.
Sounds like you have some celebrating to do. What are the plans?

Happy Birthday to Dilly. sorry to hear that you've been under the weather, perhaps a bit of sunshine would help you to feel better.

Some wonderful reasons to be thankful this week - a very happy birthday to Dilly and a speedy recovery to you as well.

I've been thinking about your comment over at my place - I think the answer is in my particular post-processing (i.e. photoshop) style. As I come into my own as a photographer I'm developing a sense of my own style, a look and feel if you will, and I suspect that's what you're noticing. (And yay that you've noticed. Coherence is a factor in a major competition I'm thinking of entering.)

Happy Birthday to your daughter - doesn't the time pass very quickly when you're a parent?!

I love your fifth reason to be thankful. It's something we all probably take a little for granted when we have it, when we should be thankful every day for it.

I'm delighted that you visited my blog and thanks for your comments :)

Please pass along my birthday blessings for 21 amazing years to Dilly! I am sure that looking through photos brought back so many memories for you!

Here's hoping that you feel better soon and until then, rest and enjoy your down time.

Happy Birthday to your daughter! My daughter is 20.
Happy Thankful Thursday to you!
Yes, we do have so much to be thankful for that we sometimes take for granted, that others do not have.
Thank you for sharing your gratitude list!

Whoa! ANOTHER birthday? Happy 21st to Dilly!! I'm glad you're feeling well again. I missed your posts. My son has a friend who is going to Ireland to study for his Master's Degree in Archeology. Now I know that although Ireland looks small on the map, it is really a very large place, but wouldn't it be neat if we were to connect in that small way?
